Facts about sugar in drinks

I’ve noticed that many of you drink sugar-added beverages during lunch and some of you even during class. We will talk about this during the week but it’s very important that you become conscious about your habits, you’re old enough to make healthy choices regarding your daily diet.

Some of the drinks I recommend you think twice before asking your parents to buy them for you, (or buying it yourselves in the cafeteria!)

Capri Sun, Pacific Cooler 6.75 oz (200 ml) Pouch Sugars, total: 18g Calories, total: 70 Calories from sugar: 70

Capri Sun Pacific Cooler

Arizona Lemon Ice Tea 8 oz (240 ml) Serving Sugars, total: 24g Calories, total: 90 Calories from sugar: 90
24 oz Can Sugars, total: 72g Calories, total: 270 Calories from sugar: 270

One sugar cube contains about 4 grams of sugar, the maximum amount of added sugar recommended is 40 grams, do the math and make healthier choices!
